Thank you to all who prayed for Kaden. He passed away this afternoon. My heart is broken for their family and the fact that they have to go through this again. it all just doesn't seem fair. I express myself best in poetry and so I am going to write a poem for Kaden and his family.

Kaden

Little boy

pushed into the world

with sweet cries of protest

he was perfect

He was beautiful 

But there were signs

that something was not right

first it was breathing problems

then more tests were performed

and a terrible thing was discovered

Heart transplant

All the family could do was wait

wait and trust

in the Lord to heal their precious little boy

Health continued to go down 

and down

instead of on the up and up

Sweet, precious, beautiful Kaden

was assured into the arms of Jesus this Monday afternoon

after a three week fight here on Earth

He fought so hard

and was so brave 

but the Lord had other plans

Sometimes we don't understand why God

allows things to happen

and allows babies to die

and other horrible things

but we have to continue to 

trust in God

no matter

what

Rest in sweet peace

 precious Kaden

you touched my life

and thank you for reminding me

that the life we have here 

is short and so we need to live each day to the fullest
