The Body

Ears, fingers, toes

eyes, mouth and lips

elbows, heart and lungs

so many parts

that make up a whole

without each part

there would be nothing

every part must exist

for it to be called a body

otherwise it is a mass of parts

not in union with one another

The body is the beautiful design of God

but we are meant respect our bodies

to treat them as jewels

not as trash cans

for boys to deposite themselves inside

or to be beaten or abused

we are meant to use our bodies

to honor God

and honor those we love

our bodies are temples

places of pride

that should be worn with dignity

This society tells us to show them off

flaunt them around

but the world has it backwards

Girls, treat your bodies as temples

love your bodies

and be happy with what God has given you

love yourself because God

has created you in him image

you are beautiful

you are perfect in the eyes of God

Men, honor woman and their bodies

love woman for who they are

and don't try and change them

God created them how he wanted them

and he created you just the way that you are

love yourself for how God has created you

in the image of God
