Linking up this Friday with the beautiful Lisa Jo Baker. You can join in the fun too! Just read below to find out how:
1. Write for 5 minutes flat for pure unedited love of the written word.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in. Here’s how.
3. Be generous and leave an encouraging comment for the person who linked up before you. That’s the best part about this community.

And if you don’t have a blog, feel free to leave your five minutes of writing as a comment. And we’ll love on you there.
Today’s prompt is:
Red….
Go.
The scent kisses my lips
just likes yours kiss mine
in the nighttime air
I kick off my red heels
and you take red scent
and stick it in my hair
we dance around
so happy and free
Red dresses
and white
an isle
a man at the end
tears and fears
are shared
and a kiss
seals the deal
the wand sweeps
every so carefully
over the nail
and coats it
in a beautiful
burst of red
cries are heard
a mother runs
to pick up her child
red is left on the pavement
as a testament
to the incident that
just took place
Red takes many many forms
but the red
that dripped out of his body
as he prayed
as he wept allowed
his body, broken
beaten and bruised
hung on a tree
that red changed my life
and I hope that it changed yours too
STOP

Oh, I really like the different scenes/meanings of the word red here in poetic form. Great way to use the prompt.
