A Life of Feelings

The Lord provided us
with a way to express ourselves
through our feeling and emotions

We can be in the pit of despair
stuck in a valley
with no tunnel
and ray of hope
to the way out

But then we arrive
at the mountain top
of victory
of success
and elation
our happiness
swells through
every inch of our body
penetrating our inner most soul
with laughter and joy

we forge on in the forest
of anger and bitterness
stumbling our way
through the thorns
of life that make
piercing words
fall from our lips
and damage the hearts of others

But God is with us
to walk the unbeaten path of lif
even when our emotions
may be on a roller coaster
 the Lord is our seat belt
that holds us in for the ride
that we call life
