The Ugly Lie

The ugly lie of this world
is that you need to not care about
what you do in this life

have sex with whoever you want
cheat, lie and kill each other
in the name of very very stupid things
hateful words that spew from your mouth
in order to build you up
this is what the world tell us
is okay
we should just be happy in life
we are what matters
we should not care about other people

But the Lord erases that image
those thoughts from our brains
he shuts those thoughts off
remember where you came from
remember who saved you from sin
he conquered death
and defeated Satan forever
He is who we serve
don't listen to the lies
and hate of this world
turn to Jesus
and listen when he says
that you are beautiful
that you do matter
that you have a purpose
that he has a beautiful plan for you
shut out the world
and turn on Jesus
and his life giving truths
