My Hero

A Beautiful woman of God. Joni is the founder of Joni and Friends. Joni and Friends strives to help churches be more disability friendly to others. They also have family retreats where families can come who have disabilities and they can receive respite and relaxation for a week. One of the other things the ministry does is they have a program called Wheels for the World. They take wheel chairs and restore them and then send them to third world countries. There are then teams who come from America and hand fit the wheelchairs to each patient's need. Joni is 62 years old and has lived with Quadriplegia for over fourty years. She recently fought breast cancer and won. She is one of my heros and inspirations and also a personal friend. I am so blessed that God allowed our paths to cross.
