we question
with few places to turn
the waters literally
rising around us
screaming for help
families being ripped apart
lives being lost
And yet in the midst of it all
we find a shimmer of hope
something we can hold onto
when all is crashing down around us
God is in control
he has knit our lives together
and has us in the palm of his hand
he will take care of us
no matter when the storm rages
in times of transition
or in the heart of the storm
he is there
as a life boat
a light at the end of the tunnel
a slice of hope
that everything will be alright
that there is hope
and that Hope
will lead us on
